MILAN, APRIL 16-21, 2008, PAVILION #5, STAND D05
Donghia is pleased to announce its first ever presence at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile from April 16-21, 2008. Located in Pavilion #5, Stand D05, Donghia's exhibition space will be 700 square feet showcasing the best pieces in its furniture collection.
Each year Milan, the capital of Italian design, hosts the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the world's largest and most renowned furniture fair. Approximately 2,000 exhibitors from around the world participate in the event, displaying the latest designs in the furniture and interiors industry. Last year Salone attracted 270,000 visitors from over 145 countries. The fair, in its 45th year, showcases the future of furniture design and plays host to the biggest names in the industry.
Donghia's booth is a fully enclosed space, creating a dramatic environment to beautifully showcase only the best pieces from our collection. The space has been described as a "jewel box"; once a visitor steps inside they are surrounded by elegant silk satin walls and gleaming wood parquet floors. The sophisticated pairing of Donghia's classic furniture alongside its latest designs offers a glimpse into the world Donghia furniture creates, and the direction and inspiration of future Donghia design.

Donghia is concerned about the ecological crisis of our environment and has teamed with The Arbor Day Foundation to become part of the solution. According to Donghia president, Crans Baldwin, “our new program will do something green that is real and will actually benefit the planet.” Beginning this year, each time Donghia sells a piece of furniture, the company will, through The Arbor Day Foundation, plant a tree in one of our national forests that are being decimated by pollution and global warming.
Culminating in thousands of new trees planted each year, Donghia hopes that this small act by one small company will make a mighty difference.
“Donghia’s generous contribution will help restore wildlife habitats, clean the air, protect the soil and waterways and restore these valuable natural resources for future generations to enjoy,” noted John Rosenow, chief executive of the Arbor Day Foundation.

Rubelli S.p.A. has reached an agreement on the purchase of the Donghia companies. This transaction was managed and successfully concluded by Rubelli after more than a year of negotiations.
This is the most important investment that the Venice-based company has ever been involved in and it was made possible with the help of four of its business partners: Leclercq, Sahco, Pecci and Seguso.
Rosecrans Baldwin, who for the past nine years has been President & CEO of Bergamo Fabrics (also co-owned by Rubelli), will become President & CEO of Donghia, Inc., in addition to his responsibilities at Bergamo. Mr. William Peterson has been brought in as CFO of both companies. Ivan Casamassima will be Senior Vice President of Sales. In addition, Ms. Casamassima is Vice President of Hospitality sales at Bergamo Fabrics.
This team of senior managers gives Donghia one of the strongest groups of management talent at any company in the industry, and will enable Donghia to move forward under the overall direction of Rubelli.
